What We Stand For

Our Core Values

reporting

Integrity & Accountability

All our work is undertaken in utmost good faith and we take full responsibility for all our technical advisories and actions. Our team espouses honesty at all times, and we hold ourselves accountable to keeping our promises to our clients and partners.

Ambition & Excellence

We believe in the power of collective ambition where each member of our team pushes the boundaries of their abilities. We are driven by our intrinsic desire to excel and exceed our client’s expectation.

Creativity & Innovation

We have built a culture of creativity where our team is constantly seeking new ideas to solving complex challenges. In every task we undertake, we support our clients and partners to explore and embrace innovation as the most promising avenue to sustainable progress.

Collaborative Partnerships

We genuinely believe in collaborative actions where actors come together to leverage each other’s comparative strengths. We commit to doing our part to strengthen and inspire partnerships.

Our Focus

Our initial work centred around providing technical expertise in programme design, monitoring and evaluation to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Over the years, our portfolio has evolved and grown to encompass broader technical assistance assignments in health and social sectors, working with a variety of government departments, NGOs, and businesses. Our core areas of focus fall into four workstreams:

We draw on our team’s expertise and practical field experiences to build the institutional and technical capacity of organisations to deliver quality, impactful and sustainable programmes. Our standard training modules include resource mobilisation (grant writing and fundraising strategies), programme cycle management, monitoring and evaluation, organisational capacity assessment and development and strategic planning. In addition, we offer bespoke training in a range of technical thematic areas tailored to address gaps identified through structured assessments of our client’s training needs.

We believe that systematic, intentional, and well-resourced MERL systems are the cornerstone of adaptive, transformative, and effective programming. Hence, we dedicate significant focus to supporting our clients to build strong MERL systems that include processes, tools and skills for data capture, analytics, and use for decision making and accountability. We also provide our clients with external third-party services in conducting baseline assessments, evaluations, and surveys. Our research and evaluation experts have extensive experience in applying robust methods and tools to generate quality data and rigorous evidence to feed into policy and programmatic decisions. We leverage technology and innovation such as web-based tools, mobile applications, and geospatial data techniques to optimise data quality, timely availability, and reliability.

Designing the right solutions to complex challenges that face the world today require in-depth understanding of the context, robust evidence base, and strong partnerships with funders, implementors and beneficiaries. Working closely with our clients and the local communities they serve, we co-design lasting solutions by applying context-specific knowledge and investing considerable thought in technical appropriateness of the strategies we devise. We support our clients to come up with evidence-based programmes that are anchored on rigorous research and problem analysis, and that build on success from approaches and strategies that have worked elsewhere. During programme implementation we provide technical assistance to our clients in designing and implementing quality improvement models, including review of performance data, workflow mapping, quality audits, and change actions through a Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycle approach.

We support governments and development partners to design and strengthen resilient, efficient and people-centred health supply chains that ensure equitable and reliable access to essential medicines, health commodities and technologies. Our technical assistance encompasses supply chain assessments and optimisation, demand forecasting and quantification, procurement and inventory management, logistics information systems, and last-mile distribution. We work with our clients to strengthen institutional capacity, improve supply chain data visibility and use, and institutionalise continuous performance improvement. Our approach combines evidence-based solutions, appropriate technology and collaborative partnerships to build responsive, sustainable supply chains that meet the needs of health workers and the communities they serve.

Our Team

Our staff complement consists of six full time staff and eight part-time associate consultants. The staffing is structured into two units: Finance and Administration Unit (consisting of finance, human resources, and administration functions), and Technical Delivery Unit (that hosts our consultants). The consulting team consists of thematic specialists in health, nutrition, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, sexual and gender-based violence, conflict prevention and resolution, monitoring and evaluation, among others. A Senior Management Team is responsible for strategic stewardship and operational oversight.
